Muon Space received an NRO contract under the Strategic Commercial Enhancements framework to provide commercial electro-optical capabilities. The company will deliver multispectral EO/IR data from its climate monitoring constellation.
The constellation deployment engineers global coverage with rapid revisit capabilities for monitoring of global thermal activity. The data serves dual applications in both climate science and national security.
Christine Fox, former Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense and Muon board member, noted the company’s capabilities will provide important insights and understanding to the NRO at an unclassified level.
