Muon Space and Earth Fire Alliance announced the FireSat Constellation, a revolutionary space mission to transform global wildfire response and enhance climate resilience. The project developed over five years with support from Google Research and leading environmental organizations.

The initial phase launches with three Muon Halo satellites equipped with advanced 6-band multispectral infrared instruments. At full deployment with 50+ satellites, the constellation achieves 20-minute revisit times globally, with fire-prone regions sampled every nine minutes.

FireSat operates in an untasked always-on mode over land, delivering processed data products including fire detection maps, perimeter maps, and radiative power information in near real-time to first responders and decision-makers.
