Behind every mission is a team of seasoned space industry veterans who thrive on collaborative problem solving, systems-level thinking, and finding innovative approaches to challenges others walk away from. Our depth of experience is what makes mission success not just possible, but predictable.
Built for the Mission
Muon is built on the belief that speed, rigor, and mission focus aren’t trade-offs. We deliver constellation performance that is mission-optimized from day one.
Our Vision
A world that sees itself clearly – where real-time planetary insight drives action to protect lives, build resilience, and compounds into shared prosperity.
How We Build
We Build on a
Common Platform
Enabling customers to define and use new types of data without reinventing the wheel
We See the Big Picture
and Operate Lean
Looking across every interface and subsystem boundary to reduce complexity
We Beat Up our Designs, Test and
Integrate Early and Often
Emphasizing early and frequent integration, simulation, and testing to quickly identify and resolve issues
From Founding to
Constellation-Scale Operations
The Beginning
Five space veterans set out with a mission to build satellite constellations the right way, end to end, to enable high performance missions for Earth ecosystems and national security. Muon is awarded a contract to formulate the FireSat constellation and opened its Mountain View Facility.
First Satellite on Orbit
Muon completed development of its Gen1 Condor vertically integrated satellite and operations platform. MuSat1 launched on Space-X Transporter 8 validating the core platform and technology. Muon achieved contact just 6 minutes from separation.
Constellation grows
MuSat2 reached orbit on SpaceX Transporter-10 carrying a Muon-developed payload to provide data to the US Air Force and US Space Force. New constellation customers include Earth Fire Alliance and SNC.
Scaling In-House and On-Orbit
Firesat, built and delivered in just sixteen months, reaches orbit and returned its first-light wildfire imagery. Acquired propulsion company Starlight Engines, expanded facilities, launched the Hydrosat mission, and added three customer missions, including SSC and Hubble.
Scaling the constellation
San Jose facility opened, purpose-built for high-throughput constellation production. Nine satellites launching for four missions including SNC Vindlér, marking the deployment of Muon’s first coordinated three-satellite constellation, flying in formation with inter-satellite links.
